Using an interdisciplinary and integrated approach, we apply molecular signalling devices for a) the design of synthetic signalling network within and across mammalian cells, b) in vitro analytical systems, c) the design of signal-sensing and signal-transducing smart biomaterials and d) the discovery of new drugs interrupting the signal cascade responsible for antibiotic resistance in tubercle bacteria.
